Manual and Auto Focus
Fine-tune focus with a dedicated slider, or enable Auto to let the camera keep adjusting. The slider follows the current focus while Auto is on.
Zoom and Pinch Control
Frame your subject with the Zoom slider or a pinch gesture on the camera preview. Reset the adjustment when you want to start again.
Flash and Brightness
Adjust continuous torch intensity with Flash and exposure with Brightness. Shape the light before capturing; Flash requires a camera with a torch.
Photo and Video
Change modes on the camera screen and use the shutter to take a photo or start and stop recording. Video supports 60 fps when the camera configuration allows it.
Photo Viewfinder
Enable Photo Viewfinder in Settings for a full-camera overview and framing guide. Move the overview to either upper corner without losing your composition.
Lock Screen Access
Add the Macro Lens control to your Lock Screen or Control Center to open the camera. Your iPhone may ask you to unlock before opening the app.
Camera Control
On iPhones with Camera Control, press the hardware button while Macro Lens is open to take a photo or start and stop a video.
Save to Photos
Save captured photos and videos to your device's photo library. Camera and permission setup happen in a guided first-run flow.
Optional Location Tags
Allow location access to attach your location to saved photos and videos. Leave it off and keep capturing without location tags.

Common questions
Is location permission required?
No. Camera and photo library permissions are required. Location is optional and used to add location metadata to saved photos and videos.
Can I record video?
Yes. Use the Photo/Video button on the camera screen, then tap the shutter to start or stop. Recording at 60 fps depends on camera support.
What does Photo Viewfinder change?
It adds an overview and framing guide in Photo mode. Zoom is applied when you take the photo, which can add a short delay. It is off by default and does not change Video mode.
Which iPhones are supported?
The current app requires iOS 26 or later. Close-focus distance, torch availability, and frame rates depend on your iPhone's camera hardware. Camera Control requires an iPhone with that button.
